Brisbane, AU :: Canon 5D MkII Time-lapse

by Mike on February 12, 2010

While in Brisbane, QLD AU for work & vacation I purchased a new intervalometer to use for time-lapse photography. This little video was my first attempt at using my new toy along with my Canon 5D MkII w/ 24-70mm L f/2.8.  I setup the camera, Giottos travel tripod, and intervalometer in a chair on our 15th floor deck overlooking the Botanical Gardens, river, and downtown area. The 16 second movie is a combination of 399 images taken at 7 second intervals.

Multiple imperfections aside, I really enjoy this little clip. It’s kinda fun to watch the residential building as people return home, open & close blinds, walk on balconies, etc…

Liana and I are officially on vacation now, so we should be seeing lots of cool and interesting things to take pictures and movies of, so stayed tuned here and over on Liana’s site!

That’s pretty spiffy, Mikey. Now you totally need to put up the video of Josh :D

Mike! This is so fun! I’ve always wondered about the details behind time lapse stuff… makes me want to get out and try my own. :) And GREAT blog too! You certainly have a knack for design and I LOVE the static photo of yourself at the bottom right!
